AC Milan are back in Champions League action tonight, and face the rather daunting prospect of a game against the current holders Real Madrid.
Milan have found themselves on the periphery of the Serie A title race heading into November and in the elimination places in the new Champions League ‘league phase’. A win tonight would be a tall order but could light a spark, and you can read our pre-match preview for a full breakdown of the contest.
Below are this morning’s front pages in Italy…
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Devil inside. Champions League, the true Milan needed at Real’s home. Fonseca relaunches Leao in the challenge with Mbappé. ‘You’ll see our ambition.’ Ancelotti: ‘It’s an error to play’.”
Corriere dello Sport: “Milan, derby of the heart. Leao returns to the starting XI: ‘I expect him to be decisive.’ Carlo: ‘Game should not be played after the Valencia tragedy’.”
Tuttosport: “Ancelotti: ‘#ACMilan, we had to postponed it. How can we talk about football with a similar tragedy?’”
Why would real need to postpone games?
If they’re feeling guilty or generous give them more money. Nothing else you can do for them. Playing or not playing is not gonna stop water or rain
