GdS: Fulham inform Milan of intention to buy Chukwueze – the figures of the deal

This afternoon, AC Milan’s summer funds have been improved, thanks to the pending sale of one of its loanees – Samuel Chukwueze.

There has been a lot said about Milan’s loanees this season, and how they would potentially provide a lot of riches in the summer. Of course, this is all hypothetical until it happens, though. However, the first step has been made today.

Chukwueze to go

As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, via MilanNews, contact has been made between Fulham and the Rossoneri, with the East London outfit stating their intention to buy the Nigerian winger in the summer.

Of course, a buy clause was inserted into the deal, which is valued at €24 million, and it is unlikely that that will be changed. If it is, though, it is unlikely that the club would take anything less than €20m from Fulham or any other suitors.

In terms of his future, it is difficult to see a role for Chukwueze at San Siro, given Massimiliano Allegri’s constant usage of the 3-5-2. Put simply, Chukwueze is not someone who would benefit from playing in this system.

So, the news of Fulham’s intentions is only good from a Diavolo perspective. Hopefully, others on loan will also have confirmations of their future, too, so the planning can really begin.

    1. 2025-26 season
      Cap Gains:
      Thiaw: €32.2m
      Theo: €22.1m
      Jimenez: €15.5m
      Chukwueze: ~€10m
      Okafor: €9.7m
      Pobega: TBD

      1. I think we will know when they buy him. Clubs decides if that will be for this season balance or next, depending how they want to show it – either small profit or loss.
Pobega is 7 million, and Jimenez is 19.5 ÷ 2 – amortization. For Jimenez capital gain is near 7 mill.

    1. Being a slightly better Nkunku is not conducive of liking anyone “a lot” because Nkunku, who in the remote past was a great player in the Bundesliga, is currently in steep decline and a shadow of his former self.

I’m glad for nice guy Chuk to be doing well for Fulham, but his tenure at Milan wasn’t positive at all, so, it is beneficial for both the player and for Milan to have this sale finalized. Good luck to Chuk, but he doesn’t have a space to fill at Milan’s formation and is not fit for Milan’s head coach’s ideas, so, it’s best to indeed sell him permanently.

  1. Bro, is on three goals and plays mostly on the left 😂 not even in the starting 11. If we can recoup what we paid we will make out like bandits. Very nice guy but not build for Serie A.

  2. Did that picture of Chuk get reversed? It looks to me like he is using his right foot…I’ve never seen that from him before.
