Chukwueze and Reijnders

Romano: ‘Negotiations ongoing’ – Fulham make late approach to Milan for Chukwueze

It has already been a very hectic day for AC Milan, and it seems like it is not going to be done yet, as Samuel Chukwueze could also leave the club.

The past few hours have been mental already, but would it be Deadline Day if it was not like this? Well, don’t go to bed just yet, because Premier League side Fulham have approached Milan to seek a deal for Chukwueze.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the London outfit have made a late approach to the Rossoneri for the winger, and all parties are in negotiations with time running out to seal a deal.

The Nigerian has featured a few times under Sergio Conceicao, but he has failed to kick up any trees, and with him being criticised for his role in the Inter equaliser on Sunday night, it could have lessened his chances of a role moving forward.

Considering the Rossoneri have already agreed a deal with Napoli for Noah Okafor, whether they will proceed with a move is yet to be seen. However, this interest in the Nigerian could explain the interest in Riccardo Sottil, perhaps.

It seems like we are in for a busy few hours left in the mercato, and if Chukwueze departs, there could be more on both fronts.

    1. Sottil is fine. People here were crying about Maldini yet here you have a player with the same quality, better physically and actually knows what his position is. Has European football experience with Fiorentina as well.

    1. Chukwueze out, sound good! But Sotil ideal is awful. At 25 year. His career goal involvement is nothing to count on. Traore and Omoregbe seem better prospects than him. We don’t just have a coach with playing pattern that allow young players to express themselves.

All these kick and follow coach hardly integrate young players to their team. They will keep looking for weight lifter as a player.

      1. He’s more serviceable than Chukweze and Okafor. And yes strength is needed have you seen how Pulisic and Leao get bullied in matches?

    1. Why the hell would we sign Gnonto? Berardi is well out of his prime and injury prone, Orsolini is 28 and they want too much for him. Sottil is better than BOTH Chukweze and Okafor. Give me Andrea’s son any day over the rest of them. Willy Gnonto, don’t make me laugh. I can’t tell if you’re serious or making a joke.

  1. I hope they can at least make some permanent moves. Benny, Morata, Okafor are all leaving on loans. I don’t expect they’ll all be bought out in the summer.

  2. Amazing, do it, sell him permanently now!

This guy is one of the most pathetic excuses of a professional football player I’ve ever witnessed in my life, I am still shocked we paid close to 30 million for him.

  3. Well, naysayers and preachers of apocalyptic doom can say what they fvckin want, we are doing a bold daring and ambitious market this winter. A rising star for the attack and promising youngster for the midfield as permanent deals, a very good winger, a great champion on the RB as loanees, in short, we are being properly reinforced.

    1. Lol, people here will still complain, regardless. Bold and ambitious moves by the management indeed. Now let’s see if these moves actually work. Exciting times ahead.

      1. Yes I’ll hand it to them, for all their perceived mistakes they at least seem to be trying this window. I don’t necessarily agree with all of the moves but definitely a change of tack here, rather than sitting on some underperforming players they are trying to upgrade the squad.

Particularly happy with the punt on Gimenez, I won’t blame them if he fails, it was a calculated risk.

        Forza Milan

  4. He’s the first player I’d sell after Morata but at this rate of transfers I’m wondering if Ibra and Co think this is fifa career mode they are playing??!

Although from the Zegreb game, getting rid of half the team could be justified! Hopefully the replacements are more willing and capable.

    1. They are trying to save their jobs. This management don’t mess around. They got rid of Maldini, Pioli and Fonseca. No one is safe, not should they be.

      Moncada out.
