Niclas Füllkrug published a message for the AC Milan fans on Instagram this morning, after missing a penalty in the Rossoneri’s 2-1 win against Pisa.
It was in the 56th minute that Füllkrug stepped up to take the penalty for Milan. The scoreline was 0-1 then, meaning a goal would have doubled the lead, but the German hit the outside of the post. Shortly thereafter, Pisa equalised and made life very difficult for the Rossoneri.

Luckily, Luka Modric took matters into his own hands, finding the back of the net after a nice one-two with Samuele Ricci. For Füllkrug, this was obviously a huge relief as the penalty miss could have proved incredibly costly.
Füllkrug’s Instagram message
On his Instagram, the striker published a message to the Milan fans, saying that he has definitely had better days. At the very least he cares, and we can only hope that he will do better when given the chance next time.
“Definitely had better days and very relieved the penalty didn’t turn out decisive – grazie team!🙏🏼
“Games like this can still make the difference in the end and that’s all we need now!
“Thank you all for supporting us on this Friday night – have a nice weekend, Rossoneri! ❤️🖤,” he wrote.

People do not know enough about football. I saw the rating this man got on this site, and their single-sentence depiction of his work was so void of football IQ.
The game was screaming for someone like Fullkrug. It is a small pitch, and all the Milan players are tall with long legs. So the best course of action is so obvious: use long balls and crosses. This barely happened with RLC or Nkunku because these numb skulls are trying to turn with the ball and take a shot, or one-touch the ball and be in the box and score, or maybe turn and run into the box.
There was no space with the small pitch, so why even try that when you know they have overcrowded their box and the little space in front of it? It was frustrating to see the obvious thing that was going to happen and still persist with players who are not good at what was needed.
So, Allegri constantly wanting RLC to be like a forward is not working well enough to justify him starting every game. He needs to get with the program and use his frame and natural strength to run into the box and crowd the center and not linger at the perimeter or somewhere else in the box. Get into the center. It is where the balls usually land. Then we can criticize the midfielders if they are not delivering a good ball into the box.
Now Fullkrug, he came on, and the dynamics changed. He fought for second balls and won, but most importantly, he made runs into the box; just watch the second goal. Fullkrug makes a run and pulls the defender away, and then Ricci made a run into the vacant space left for a moment, and Modric immediately got in there as well. Someone who watches football knows that Füllkrug knew his job and the secondary effects of running.
So the lesson is obvious: When teams have less money and a small pitch. They all play low blocks, and it becomes clear to have the traditional tank of a number 9.
“Now Fullkrug, he came on, and the dynamics changed.”
Yes, Pisa started attacking and scored. 🤣🤣🤣 Let’s not mention him running 2 good chances, missing a penalty and the handball. 10/10
I am not going to insult your lack of spelling, but again, Max is the kind of person I am talking about who lacks football IQ.
Tried to water down the impact of a player because he thought I gave him a standing ovation.
Lack of spelling? You can’t even write English properly. It would be the minimum requirement to grade other people’s spelling? You lack iq in general…
“Let’s not mention him running 2 good chances, missing a penalty and the handball. 10/10”
I assume you meant “ruining” and if so, he actually CREATED the Rabiot goal. Without his service to Rabiot the Frenchman would have never gotten the ball in the first place.
He ruined 2 good chances and a penalty. And the Rabiot goal didn’t exist as he used his hand. Top notch performance. Pavlovic was a better center forward…
Oh the Rabiot goal Füllkrug created? You’re a broken record.
He is a top tier striker I don’t care what anyone says. He brings dynamic and football iq quick one touch passes with the back to the goal which Pulisic is deadly. Want him to play more. Everyone missed a penalty from time to time.
And let’s be honest… Füllkrug did more in two minutes (the pass to Rabiot) than Nkunku in 45. Fact.
You mean the handball? Anyone can play football with their hands.
I don’t know why so many people hype this rubbish west ham reject what else can I say
You don’t need to hype him; understand the dynamics on the pitch and recognize that his physical stature and his level of technical ability and awareness as a number 9 did more in getting the game winner than you would have gotten with RLC and Nkunku. Of course he isn’t Dennis Bergkamp, but to even have Fullkrug, who is so limited in his abilities to make such simple moves that even a basic fan can see and therefore understand that the game needed him more than RLC or Nkunku before the game started, should tell you a lot of things.
1 – The guy’s Allegri is picking are the wrong choice
2 – the players themselves if they were the right physical size but had better technique and were healthier. That player would have turned this game much sooner and caused far less stress.
💯
What did he do? 🤣🤣🤣 He missed 2 sitters, penalty, lost all of the aerial duels, touched the ball 19 times. He wasn’t even close to the goal when we scored. 🤣🤣🤣 He was being lost like he was the whole game. You people are delusional.
Even with all that, he was miles better than Nkunku. SO there’s that. 🙂
Because they don’t understand football. The worse player on the pitch yesterday…
