GdS: Furlani received apologies from FIGC and Lega Serie A after Bologna

In recent years, there has been little action taken by AC Milan when decisions have not gone their way. However, it appears this may have changed.

There has been a focus on sustainability in recent years at Milan, leading many to believe that the club is a business, rather than a football club. In fact, that view has been upheld several times, through the mercato, and even league rankings.

Over the past 18 months, there have been suggestions that a Scudetto squad is available. However, it has normally fallen back on the idea that things had to be done in a method that the club could afford, whilst profiting.

Furlani’s call

Tijjani Reijnders, for example, was a player to build around for years to come. He seemed like he would. However, after some interest from Manchester City, he was sold for a price that many still don’t agree with, furthering these beliefs that the Rossoneri do not have much backbone.

This has continued onto the pitch. With this weekend’s mistakes, it seems like things may change, though.

As Gazzetta dello Sport write, Giorgio Furlani, the club’s CEO, rang the FIGC and Lega Serie A to protest the penalty which was overturned by VAR. Both parties acknowledged the errors, with the FIGC president Gabriele Gravina even apologising publicly.

Perhaps, this could be a turning point.

  1. The phone call did NOTHING. Allegri is STILL suspended for the referee’s mistake, and the referee’s got off with minor slaps to the wrist.
Bring back someone with more Political clout in the FIGC or even UEFA. This is ridiculous.

    1. Hahahaha! We are sorry but pay 15k fine and possible loose your next match because your coach won’t be by the pitch side. Funny apology.

  2. I like sempremilan page. Furlani looks like he acts on the pic…licking for money..😁✌🏾♥️🖤. Hope they sell soon for a better owner…

  3. we had so many very bad ref decisions against us last season, stealing our points in many critical moments. dont let it happen again.

  4. What a clever, strong dwarf!!!! Even if i had phoned, figc and lega serie A would have admitted the ref’s mistake!!!!
Such a clever, strong idiot – sure he is scared stiff of galliani being around and doing his best to scupper this idea …..
