Furlani confirms Milan are ‘ready’ to welcome ‘legend’ Ibrahimovic back

AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani has made it very clear that the club are willing to welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic back when he is ready to return.

Ibrahimovic celebrated his 42nd birthday yesterday and it was his first in a long time that he spent not attached to football in some way. Calciomercato.com are among the sources that have reported how the Swede really misses football and wants to get back involved.

If there is a club that has truly felt like his during his many experiences as a player, it is Milan. He won two Scudetto and a Supercoppa across two spells, amassing 93 goals and 35 assists in 163 appearances.

There have been rumours of a potential return to the Rossoneri in some capacity, and Furlani spoke to Mediaset Infinity before the Borussia Dortmund game about the idea.

“He’s a Milan legend, he’s thinking about what to do in the future, in the meantime we are ready to welcome him back at Milanello whenever he wants,” he said (via MilanNews).
