There have been some developments on the sporting director front for AC Milan today, as a discussion with Fabio Paratici took place.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are already starting to plan for next season and there has been contact in the last few hours between the CEO Giorgio Furlani and Paratici over the vacant position of sporting director.
While the players and coaching staff are preparing to face a fiery April, in which a place in the European competitions and the Coppa Italia final are at stake, at the top they are starting to plan for beyond that.
Furlani started a search for the new director of the future several weeks ago, organising several interviews with candidates. Among these is Paratici, who formerly held the same role at Juventus and Tottenham.
The news is that the CEO of Milan and Paratici himself have ‘had a long chat’ in the last few hours, but no decision has yet been made by the club. In the discussion, the possibility of working together starting next season was discussed naturally, though the Rossoneri are taking their time.
In fact, this probably was not and will not be the only meeting between Furlani and the former Sampdoria director, who nevertheless remains one of the most concrete candidates to occupy the position.

Given Paratici’s history with a rival and shenanigans, I’m not overly excited, but at least he has experience at both big clubs and Serie A, unlike most of the other candidates, who lack one or the other.
Welcome, banter era 2.0. Paratici is a perfect fit for club that wants to committ suicide.
Tare would be better with the Milan budget.
Can someone explain this phenomenon: You declare the election of the sports director as urgent, and then you talk to a man whose suspension will only expire in 3 months 😀
He’d start officially in 3 months but would begin his work already behind the scenes.
Yes, but if they lived in the Wild West. Until July, he can only think and make plans and nothing behind the scenes 😉
