The AC Milan leadership are remaining united around Massimiliano Allegri and the squad amid a tough recent run of form.
Milan’s top four hopes suffered yet another blow on Saturday evening at San Siro as they were beaten 3-0 by Udinese. Allegri’s decision to switch to a 4-3-3 certainly yielded a more open game, but with Runjaic’s side producing a counter-attacking clinic to win comfortably.

The need for unity
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write this morning, the key in the most difficult moment of the season is unity. In action, not words.
On Saturday, immediately after the defeat against Udinese, the CEO Giorgio Furlani and sporting director Igli Tare met with Allegri. They analysed the reasons for such a poor performance and devised a solution both to overcome this situation and to secure Champions League qualification.

Today, when training resumes at Milanello, the former Lazio director will be there as usual to convey the club’s support to the team. Furlani, with president Scaroni, will be involved in the Lega Calcio Serie A assembly.
However, the CEO will also be visiting the Rossoneri training centre this week to be close to the players and Allegri. The management have full confidence in the coach and the team, one capable of earning 63 points in 30 games, before the last two consecutive defeats.
Getting into the top four is still considered an attainable goal by everyone. Including, of course, Allegri, who already showed great balance on Saturday and will return to a 3-5-2 against Hellas Verona to rediscover the tactical order and defensive compactness that have been lost.

Yes, unity for the last 6 matches. Brilliant management!!
Scaroni and Furlani are the last thing this team needs to moralize it back.
