Gabbia says Milan need ‘continuity’ and praises defensive department: “We are all excellent”

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Empoli in less than 30 minutes and ahead of the crucial clash, Matteo Gabbia spoke to the media. The youngster won’t be playing from start but he will be on the bench this evening.

The Rossoneri are flying high after their 1-0 win at Napoli but it’s clear that they need to claim another three points tonight. They simply cannot afford another slip-up against a bottom-half team, putting some pressure on them.

Gabbia, who has made seven appearances for Milan this season, was interviewed by MilanTV (via MilanNews) and he admitted that they need continuity in their performances. With just ten games left, it must start from today’s game.

On the game…

“We need continuity, we are very concentrated because Napoli is now the past. We trained well, we must try to bring home the result in every way. The fans give us a lot of energy, they are always following us both at home and away and are a great support for us.”

You are always ready to put in a solid performance…

“I hope it will continue to be like this until the end. We are all excellent defenders, we train well and try to improve our defects.”

On the Scudetto…

“The dream exists, this shirt always leads you to aim high. We are focused and ambitious.”

Milan are currently in first place but seeing as the Scudetto race is so tight, dropping points between now and the end of the season could prove costly. Maximum concentration will be needed to achieve their big goal, therefore.
