AC Milan hope to have Matteo Gabbia back this weekend, but it seems unlikely considering there have been no updates yet.
Gabbia was forced to miss the game against Parma, after being withdrawn from the starting lineup in the moments before kick-off. Perhaps it was a sign of what was to come on the evening, and Milan will want their rock back as soon as possible.

However, there are no signs yet of when that may be.
No positives on Gabbia
As MilanNews reports this morning, the Italian’s condition has not been assessed yet, which is slightly confusing given how long there has been between the game and now. The strain on his thigh was not a muscle or tendon injury.
However, he trained separately yesterday, and there are no clues as to whether he will be back among the defence, as the report relayed from Gazzetta dello Sport.

MilanNews24 reports similar, stating that his condition is a ’cause for concern’. The medical staff do not want to take any risks, and would prefer a gradual recovery, rather than rushing him back at the risk of a longer absence.
Indeed, it seems unlikely that he will play this weekend given what is being reported only three days before the game.
