There continues to be speculation about where Rafael Leao will end up this summer, but the Galatasaray rumours are definitely heating up.
Plenty of reports have gone out from Italian and Turkish sources regarding the fate of the winger. After a delegate landed in Italy earlier in the week it seemed that Fenerbahce had taken pole position, though yesterday brought speculation about an enquiry from Manchester United.

Galatasaray step up pursuit
According to Fanatik (via MilanNews) in Turkey, Fenerbahçe have already had talks and a meeting with Milan in recent days regarding Leao. However, Galatasaray are also carefully evaluating the situation, aware that he has been made available.
The first contact between the Rossoneri and Galatasaray is expected shortly. As their initial offer, they are considering a loan with an obligation to buy formula, which some sources have already suggested the Rossoneri will not accept.
Fanatik also reports a rather surprising statement regarding this potential deal from a member of Galatasaray’s entourage: “Leao had Galatasaray in mind from the beginning. He wasn’t a priority for us, but now we are seriously considering this transfer.”
So, the Aslanlar seem intent on competing with their big rivals in the race to sign Leao, and will soon contact his agents in addition to Milan.

For 10M per year salary and CL football. of course Leao is interested.
Gala haven’t spent any money this mercato so it seems more realistic than Fener who have spent nearly 100m already. It would only make sense if they are either going to play Yilmaz thru the middle and/or thinking they may lose Osimhen. No loan with obligation nonsense, pay the fee or Rafa can stay. There must not be such an urge to move him that it comes at the expense of getting value in return.
60M and I will drive him myself to Istanbul…
we need new CAM and wingback.
Why wouldn’t we accept a loan with an obligation?
It’s better to just get the job done and move on once and for all plus if he underperformes, clubs can start asking for discount and it becomes a separate headache and we need the money to unlock the Mercato now.
What clubsS? We are talking about one club in particular and that is galatasaray. Once a / the (redemption) fee is agreed upon and settled, there is not too much the other side can do about it. One could argue that it is always risky doing business with the turks but that’s a whole other matter.
Clubs (Gala, Fener and any who may be interested in a loan).
“Once a / the (redemption) fee is agreed upon and settled, there is not too much the other side can do about it” are you familiar with how we signed Tonali? How we basically told Brescia that he didn’t meet the fee we agreed to pay? Or how we sought a discount for Tomori because he made some rash challenges that lead to goals? Or do you know why no clubs wanted to do a loan and option with us anymore before Maldini left?
There can arise all kinds of headache on a loan, hence the buy only
I am familiar with Tonali’s case, that of Tomori’s rings a bell as well. Redondo, Rami, Rino, Tonali, they have all made significant personal sacrifies. Don’t get me wrong now, I would like for it to be a permanent transfer just like you do.
Amen, please let it happen GOD!
reunite with osimehn
would have preferred them both to reunite in Milan
