AC Milan have received information that Galatasaray would be willing to spend around €30 million on Youssouf Fofana this month, but a deal will not happen.
In the past few days, there has been a lot said about Fofana and his future. Representatives from Turkey are in Italy currently to discuss a few players, and the Frenchman was listed as a name of interest.

However, the move was never given a chance to get off the ground. Within an hour of the story being reported, news broke that the midfielder had rejected the proposal, with the interest from Gala not being new.
That has not put them off, though. In fact, they are still trying to communicate their desire to the Rossoneri in the hope of a change.
Galatasaray’s offer
It is clear that they have money to spend on the deal, with the former Monaco man being offered a significant wage rise, and Matteo Moretto has provided some more information about their pursuit, MilanNews relays.
“Galatasaray called Milan for Fofana and were even willing to offer a fee of around €30 million for the Rossoneri midfielder. This official offer was never delivered because Galatasaray realised that Fofana was not open to leaving Milan at this time, midway through the season.
“Fofana said no to Galatasaray, but Galatasaray communicated to Milan their intention to try and make it known that they would be willing to go as high as €30 million, including bonuses: a very high figure. As of today, the deal is absolutely stalled because the player wants to stay at Milan.”

When he plays, supposedly for us, it’s like we are playing with 10 men versus 12 men, because the opponents will have their 11 players, plus Fofana helping them.
Fofana shouldn’t be allowed to be less than 100 kilometers from an AC Milan jersey.
Yes, yes, I know, he is occasionally helpful with a good through pass that even results in a goal, but MUCH more often than that, he only helps the opponents. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. His very rare good games (or at least, good moments because lately it is very hard to find an actually good game by Fofana) do not compensate for the constant wasted attacking plays out of his atrocious finishing, and the constant loss of balls that result in dangerous counterattacks by the opponents.
It’s a pity that he doesn’t want to leave; when it’s like this for a player under contract, it does become very difficult to push him out. See the case of Origi.
I do fervently hope that Galatasaray will eventually be able to entice him. Crossed fingers.
These garbage players (Fofana, RLC) refuse to leave because they know very well that they will never stand a chance for a starting position at the new club. Please stop with the “I will stay and contribute to the team” thing. What do they even contribute for the good of the team?

How can such a poor player not be pushed out of the team. Terrible player. It’s like when he is on the pitch he plays for the opposition team. One thing I hate about him is when he is always around the box when we have the ball. He is never in the middle to reinforce it. Terrible player.
Quality player for midfield so far so good. The buying club knows quality and are willing to spend. Good decision not to sell him.

If we sell Fofana then nobody will run. He is only player who run all time when he play. He never complain and do what coach ask.For me he is one of best our players.
But the fans are blind to see that, everyone has a role in the team,if Milan is doing well is partly due to his own contribution too.

Some of you haven’t seen Goretzka play. You see a link to a player from a big club and get excited. Goretzka is a hard runner and offers little else. Fofana is a better passer. Upgrading on Fofana is going to be very difficult. Players that can go vertical and pass as well as he can are rare, especially in January.
I’d take fofana over RLC any day of the week. I’d just tell him he’s not allowed to shoot ever.
Fofana is a legit liability on the field. Sell him. And if you dont sell him then bench him.

$30m is a good price. Fofana is poor in combination and poor in the final third.
Just compare his passing and shooting with Rabiot.
Rabiot: passes first, only shoots if he’s clearly in the best position. His shots are on target most of the time. He scores sometimes.
Fofana: shoots first, even if someone else is clearly in a better position. Shoots off target most of the time, often wildly. Never scores.
He covers a lot of ground and breaks up some plays.
But our attack is much better when someone else is playing in Fofana’s place.

We have the money for Goretzka we do but this bum ahh management will not spend s**** bc they want new loan. So getting Fulkrug solved our depth problem? Instead of try to get rid of players hoe about sign some? Another ST a CM/CDM with different profile a CB or two and after these signings lets see the players performance. As much as I’d like him sold, he is kind of a functional player for Max. Plus it’s January so we don’t know who we’ll get to replace him. That’s a big if right there. And wishful thinking from those who have a fetish for transfers
