Gallery: ‘Debutants Fonseca and Vanoli’, ‘Fofana at San Siro’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

Serie A is back! AC Milan will begin their season this evening, taking on Torino at San Siro, and it will also be Paulo Fonseca’s first game in charge of the team. Naturally, today’s newspapers focused on the start of the season.

Milan did well in pre-season and on the mercato, some targeted signings have been made. Youssouf Fofana arrived for his medical tests this morning and while it would have been good to sign him earlier, it’s better late than never.

Today’s newspapers focused on the Frenchman’s arrival as well as the start of the season, with the top sides hoping to rival Inter. As for tonight’s game, Torino are not in an ideal situation after the sale of Alessandro Buongiorno, set to play two full-backs as centre-backs.
