Paulo Fonseca arrived at Milanello for the first time yesterday, along with his staff, and thus got a feel of the place ahead of the Raduno on Monday. Naturally, this was the main focus of the Italian newspapers this morning.
The Portuguese manager was announced by the club a few weeks ago but his arrival was always scheduled for July. Yesterday afternoon, with him arriving in the morning, Milan published a video of his first day at Milanello.
The first day of pre-season is scheduled for Monday and although it will be a reduced squad, prompting the Curva Sud to announce their absence, it will still be a special day. Fonseca will also speak to the media in the morning, so that will be very interesting.
In any case, let’s take a look at the front pages of Italian papers this morning. By the looks of it, Stefano Pioli is no longer Saudi Arabia-bound.
The front pages
Gazzetta dello Sport
👿 “Fonseca: The Devil is in me.”
💪 “The new AC Milan manager will live at Milanello.”
Corriere dello Sport
🔁 “Change on the bench. Milan, here is Fonseca.”
👀 “No Saudi Arabia for Pioli.”
Inter going for Kim now? Seems nice to be broke.
They may soon be like Barca
