Gallery: ‘Liverpool too much’, ‘A pity, Milan’ – Today’s front pages of Italian papers

The Italian sports papers this morning are dominated by AC Milan’s defeat against Liverpool at San Siro which saw them crash out of the Champions League.

The Rossoneri lost 2-1 despite the fact Jurgen Klopp heavily rotated his team as they had already qualified as top of Group B, and that means that Milan are out of Europe and have just domestic competitions to focus on.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Diavolo, how annoying. Milan say goodbye to Europe. Disappointment at San Siro: Liverpool too much and Ibrahimovic has an off night. Tomori gives them the lead, then Salah and Origi turn it around. Rossoneri finish last: now everything on the Scudetto.”

Il Corriere dello Sport: “Milano off key. Liverpool win, Milan out of Europe. Atletico into the round of 16. Rossoneri take the lead at San Siro with Tomori, then the Reds come back.”

Tuttosport: “A pity, Milan. Rossoneri say goodbye Europe.”
