AC Milan secured a very important win in the Derby della Madonnina against Inter last night, courtesy of a brace from Rafael Leao and a smart strike by Olivier Giroud. Naturally, the Rossoneri were praised by the newspapers.
Stefano Pioli’s men dominated large parts of the game and managed to find the back of the net three times. Although they also conceded two goals, it was an impressive display from them and especially Leao showed his best qualities.
Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following on the front page: “Super Leao. Derby to Milan, Inter deflated. Rafa bags a brace and an assist, Maignan works miracles.”
Tuttosport also focused on Leao: “Devilish Leao, Inter in hell. The Portuguese (a brace) and Giroud devastating.”
Corriere Dello Sport also focused on Napoli: “Two devils. Leao and Kvara phenomenal, taking Milan and Napoli to the top.”
