AC Milan followed up the 1-0 win at Napoli with another 1-0 win last night, beating Empoli thanks to a goal from Pierre Kalulu of all people. The Rossoneri are currently five points clear at the top, as things stand.

Inter will face Torino later this evening and Napoli will face Hellas Verona. It’s clear that last night’s win of Milan has put pressure on both these teams. As you would expect, Stefano Pioli’s men were the main focus in the newspapers this morning.

Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following about the win on their front page: “Milan fly. They extend at the top, overcoming Empoli. Kalulu magic was decisive”. Tuttosport, meanwhile, wrote this: “Thanks Kalulu! Milan extend their lead on Inter and Napoli ahead of today’s games”.

Corriere Dello Sport had a similar headline to Gazzetta: “Kalulu’s shot, Milan prevail vs. Empoli and fly to +5”.
