The Derby della Madonnina is up next for AC Milan and just like the reverse fixture, they will need to rely on their stars to get all three points, including Christian Pulisic.
Milan had been hoping to head into this game five points behind their city rivals, but as things stand, Inter are ten points ahead in the standings. In other words, a win tonight would make it 13 points and that would definitely close the Scudetto discussion.
Regardless of the Scudetto, however, the Rossoneri are very keen on coming away with the win for three reasons: 1) preserving a good position in the Champions League race, 2) doing the double over Inter this season and 3) getting the usual bragging rights of winning a derby.
Today’s newspapers highlighted just how important a man named Pulisic will be in Milan’s pursuit, seeing as he decided the reverse fixture. Furthermore, every time he has scored in the derby, the Rossoneri have won.
