AC Milan continued their positive start to the season last night, beating Venezia at home, and they were rightfully praised by the newspapers.
The positive display in the season opener gave Milan some momentum as they headed into the second clash. However, with it being Venezia and at San Siro, the pressure was certainly on Ruben Amorim’s men to clinch all three points.

Luckily, they managed to do so in the end and their new signing Goncalo Ramos played a big part, scoring the opening goal of the game. Amorim was also rewarded for his decision to sub on Alexis Saelemaekers, who got one assist (basically two) and was named the MOTM in our ratings.
As expected, the newspapers were positive about the Rossoneri this morning. While everyone can see that the team can still improve, there is no arguing six points after two games; a perfect start! The fact that Ramos got off the mark as well is also crucial.

On the transfer market,
1. Goncalo Ramos – I like him, but we could have bought two Goncalo Ramos for how much he paid for him.
2. Gila was a great deal, but this was not Cardinale’s doing; this was Tare’s.
3. Paying another 70m circa for Diego Moreira, I hope he is worth that kind of money.
Now it shows what we really need to improve the squad: another quality player to put with Pavlovic and Gila in the middle, and another quality player behind Ramos. Then we will see how the midfield will perform.
But so far so good. It looks like we are in the right direction.
What’s really your point by trying to take on Cardinale? You blamed him for not wanting to spend money in players. Now he spends money in buying players, now he’s wasting money. Do you say that to the Premier league teams that overspend Italian clubs every time we want players they like? I know you guys hate Cardinale and want Milan to fail so you can prove you are right, but let remember, we’re just fans. Like it or not, they are the owners. They are the one making or losing money that is theirs
