AC Milan claimed their third consecutive 1-0 win last night and thus maintained their position at the top of the standings. In fact, they even extended their lead on Inter, which was the focus of today’s newspapers.

The Rossoneri are currently on 66 points and Napoli, in second, are on 63 points. Inter only got a draw against Fiorentina and are thus six points behind currently, but they also have the game against Bologna in hand.

Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following on their front page: “Scudetto flash. What a Milan, Inter on the ground: -6. Napoli remain: -3. In Cagliari, the third 1-0 in a row for the Rossoneri: super goal by Bennacer. Racist insults against Maignan. Brawl at the end”.

Tuttosport, meanwhile, wrote this: “Inter lost. Bennacer’s Milan maintain +3 over Osimhen’s Napoli. Inzaghi, slowed down against La Viola: Nerazzurri at -6”.

Corriere Dello Sport also highlighted Inter’s downfall: “It’s not Inter anymore. In the Scudetto race, the braking of Simone. Draw against La Viola, 7 points in 7 races. Milan’s success in Cagliari: Pioli moves to +6 on the Nerazzurri”.
