AC Milan secured their third consecutive win with a strong performance away at Udinese last night. As highlighted by the newspapers this morning, Max Allegri is definitely on the right track with the Rossoneri.
Following the defeat against Cremonese in the opening round, Milan have certainly picked themselves up. Yesterday’s display against Udinese was impressive in many ways, and many players also did well individually as shown by our ratings.

Now in second place and guaranteed a top-four spot at the end of the round, Milan and Allegri can work with more serenity compared to the first weeks of the season. Having said that, the Rossoneri shouldn’t just stop at a top-four spot.
This was highlighted by the newspapers and their respective front pages this morning, especially since Christian Pulisic is in tremendous form.
The front pages
Gazzetta dello Sport
🙌 “Milanone: Three goals against Udinese and second place.”
📈 “Allegri’s climb with beautiful play and a super Pulisic. Fofana also scores. Third consecutive win.”
Tuttosport
💥 “Pulisic show, Fofana scores. It’s a Scudetto-worthy Milan.”
2️⃣ “3-0 against Udinese and second place.”
Corriere dello Sport
👊 “Milan instilling fear. Allegri wins 3-0 in Udine: a brace from Pulisic and Fofana also scores.”
Getting a bit carried away here, we still haven’t faced a contending team and we’ve won 3 of 4.
Defence has looked good so far and hopefully the Cremonese result was just the freak one-off the stats suggested, but now the real tests begin.
Target has to be top 4, Scudetto talk is very premature until we see what we can do against Napoli and Juventus we can’t place where we’re at at all IMO.
Moat beneficial thing for the team would be to get Gimenez’s confidence back. If he can find clinical form again, we’re rolling (even if he’ll start from the bench when Leao is fit).
The newspapers are saying Scudetto, no one in Milan are. So everything is calm and CL spot is the target.
Gimenez needs to score against Lecce, but I still see him benched vs Lecce. As you say, we need him as a substitute for Leao.
It’s a great shame, that he hasn’t netted in any of these Leao-free games, since Leao seem untouchable in the XL and Pulisic too.
Benched va Napoli, I mean.
