Galliani hopes to tie up Musacchio deal in coming hours

By Oliver Fisher -

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani will again meet Villarreal for Mateo Musacchio today, according to reports.

The defender has been a target for the Rossoneri since the beginning of the mercato, but the deal has been disrupted by the takeover talks affecting Milan’s inability to fund the deal.

Now Gazzetta dello Sport, La Stampa and calciomercato.it are all reporting that Galliani will meet with Musacchio’s club today to try and bring a conclusion to the deal.

The Gazzetta states that Galliani will attempt to formalise a deal which will then be completed as soon as the necessary funds arrive.

Musacchio is expected to cost around €20million which, from the Diavolo‘s point of view, would have to come from either selling a player, completing the takeover quickly or hoping Berlusconi will dip into his pocket.

Milan have been searching for a partner for Alessio Romagnoli since the departure of Alex – may they finally lock down their man?
