AC Milan and Massimiliano Allegri have been praised for their results this season, and as argued by Adriano Galliani, the manager is a huge part of that.
There was some scepticism when Milan decided to replace Sergio Conceicao with Allegri in the summer. The Portuguese manager was always going to leave, but some felt that Allegri was a bit of an old-fashioned choice by the club.

22 games later, it’s clear that Milan picked just the right man to revive the team, repairing the damaged foundation. It might not always be the most entertaining football, but claiming points is all that matters at the end of the day.
Galliani’s stamp of approval
Milan’s former CEO, Adriano Galliani, recently weighed in on the debate. He did so at the presentation of the book ‘A corto muso’, which is the name of the style that Allegri and a few others have made a career out of.
“Matches are measured by goals scored, there is no other way. So Max [Allegri] has always focused on the fundamentals and he has achieved extraordinary results, first with us and then with Juventus.
“Some like to say that Milan are behind Inter, but I would say that there are ehad of 18 other teams in the league. Last season, Milan finished eighth and it’s something we shouldn’t just forget, because right now they are second in the league.
“If Allegri hadn’t been there this season, I would say that we would have fewer points, not more. Allegri is doing his job to achieve his goals. When he talks about points needed, it’s clear that he’s referring to his goals,” he stated (via MilanNews).
Well we DID have fewer points last season and the one before it, so he has a point.
We wouldn’t be in the top four if it wasn’t for Maignan.
We give away chances to any team no matter how bad they have performed before.
If we align our goals with Allegri’s goals we’re all good.

Galliani is 100% right. Allegri has is punching above our weight class. Not enough strikers for a 2 striker formation nor back up wingbacks. Yet were second. It’s been a miracle thus far
