Galliani believes Milan and Inter have ‘something more than the others’

Adriano Galliani believes that the two Milan clubs have shown they have a bit more than the clubs that were tipped to rival them for the Scudetto.

Stefano Pioli’s men have begun the season with three wins from three, beating Bologna 2-0 in the first round, then Torino 4-1 at San Siro in the second game and most recently Roma 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Despite this, they are second in the table by virtue of the fact Inter have also won three out of three – against Monza, Cagliari and Fiorentina – scoring eight goals and not conceding once, giving them a slightly better goal difference.

On Saturday 16 September one of the two teams will lose their perfect record, and Adriano Galliani spoke to SportMediaset in view of the derby to give his thoughts ahead of the match which already perhaps has a Scudetto feel.

“In these first three rounds Milan and Inter have shown that they have done something more than the others,” he said (via PianetaMilan).

“The derby? I won’t tell you who I’m rooting for,” he added, with a devilish look that was certainly a subtle nod to the over 30 years he spent with the Rossoneri.
