Milan’s recent success certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed and although the unbeaten run came to an end, they are still first in the league standings. Former CEO Adriano Galliani, being a big fan, is very pleased with the situation.
Galliani made a big impression at the club in the many years he was there and is a likeable figure among the Rossoneri fans. He’s currently in charge of Monza, once again with Silvo Berlusconi as the owner, and they are now in Serie B.
The 76-year-old is often asked about Milan and given the recent success, it’s a good time for it. In an interview with Sky Italia (via MilanNews), live from Inter’s training ground (friendly with Monza), he shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri’s situation.
“I remember well when I was in Barcelona 10 years ago, when I was there to pick up Ibra, extraordinary on the pitch and for what he gives to the team in the locker room. Ibra is a totem, he is immortal.
“It is not only Ibra’s merit. it was up to Pioli to find the solution with the 4-2-3-1, then some good players arrived. Despite being at the training centre of Inter, I continue to remain a Milan fan, of course,” he stated.
Milan will take on Napoli away from home after the international and given that the Partenopei are third, it will be a very important game. A loss isn’t an option, while a draw would be a good result for Pioli’s men.
