While a lot of the attention is on the signings that AC Milan might make to improve the squad, there is also the issue of some outgoing players too.
As MilanNews report, Monza are looking for a striker and they have set their sights on Luka Jovic, a player that does not seem to be a part of Milan’s plans even if he did come off the bench during the defeat to Juventus on Saturday.
The Serbian is one of the first choices of the CEO Adriano Galliani but he will have to not only convince the Rossoneri with the right offer, but also the player to go to a club that is fighting to avoid relegation.
In recent days, there have been enquiries for Jovic by Monaco and Sevilla, clubs that are certainly sitting a bit more comfortably. The Ligue 1 side can even offer Champions League football, where they sit in mid-table after six games.
As mentioned, Jovic has found very little playing time this season. He has racked up just four appearances, only one of which as a starter (against Torino in the first round of the season), and just 88 minutes on the pitch with zero goals scored.
The former Real Madrid man was battling pubalgia (lower back pain), which also forced him to undergo surgery on November 26 to reinforce his left inguinal canal.
No thanks – We are unlikely to sign a new one before the window closes…
no thanks? dude, Jovic hasnt played at all. If someone comes in and says i want him, Origi or Toure, i’d pay for his plane ticket. Their salaries can be used someplace else.
You can definitively see Galliani loves Milan. He wants to help us get rid of unwanted, high earners in the squad.
Sell 1 million fee
Still better than Abraham though… 😛
lol. How many career goals does Jovic have compared to Abraham?
Career and current are not the same thing. Idc how well someone did 4 years ago
This. Living in the past will not get you new trophies.
He has been malignantly mistreated by the club this season so if he was to join Monza then I can only wish him all the best to him as he did rather well last season considering his output in minutes played. He in fact did far better than what we have seen from our current central spearheads combined and he basically did it in half a season after he joined us in bad form.
This season has been a write off for a while now. The question is whether the pieces will be there by/in the summer for Conceicao to build on.
Literally the only reliable striker in front of goal on our books rn… Morata just doesn’t score at all, and Abraham misses every chance that isn’t 3 feet from the line. And yet we won’t even try him up top. Ridiculous…
