Reports from various reliable sources are claiming that Lazio are ready to make a move to sign AC Milan striker Santiago Gimenez.
Gimenez has had a difficult time of things in Italy since his arrival from Feyenoord in January 2025, having finished the season that has just ended with zero league goals. As such there has been talk of an exit, though a move abroad seemed to be more likely.

Gattuso wants to raid Milan
However, if Gimenez is to leave Milan this summer, there could well be the option to stay in Italy. According to Sky, Lazio summer window will proceed with one priority above all others: the search for a striker.
In this regard, Lazio coach Gennaro Gattuso is interested in signing Santiago Gimenez from Milan. However, there are currently no negotiations underway, and it remains to be seen what budget the Aquile have.
On Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto commented on the rumours linking the Mexican forward with a move to Lazio. MilanNews transcribed his words.
“I checked this news a few days ago because I think it’s a rumour circulating within some Roman newspapers, and the response I received was brief, via text message, but very impactful, with a clear hope,” he said.
“I think Lazio believes in Gimenez and sees a potential leading role in the attack. It’s a long way from saying it’s a possible move, especially since there hasn’t been any contact yet between the clubs or between Gimenez’s entourage and Lazio, but Gattuso’s new Lazio really likes him.”

Here we go again. Another one who performs before Milan, is instantly thrown away after one disappointing season and will perform again somewhere else.

CDK is Belgian. Most of the players who sucked and were then sold by Milan in recent years haven’t gone on to become major stars elsewhere.
