Ivan Gazidis has done a good job along with the rest of the AC Milan management since he took on the role as CEO in 2018. And as the sporting results have improved, so has the commercial situation of the club.
Indeed, the Rossoneri are looking much better on every front and especially on the financial side of things. The wage bill is no longer huge and the losses have been reduced greatly, obviously helped by the success on the pitch as well.
In this week’s edition of SportWeek, Ivan Gazidis was interviewed and he spoke a little about Milan’s future. Naming four key principles (read in full here), he also highlighted the strength of the club’s brand and recent sponsor success.
“Milan is a strong brand that has over 500 million supporters worldwide. We are the strongest Italian sports brand in various strategic markets such as the USA and China. And in the last 12 months, we have closed contracts with 21 new sponsors,” he stated.
Hopefully, Milan will continue on this path as the future is now looking really bright for the club. A lot will depend on what happens on the pitch, though, so the pressure is on to keep getting positive results.
