AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis has once again outlined some of the plans for the future concerning the club, reiterating its huge potential.
Gazidis has previously outlined his belief that Italian football has the biggest potential for growth in any country and that Milan are the club that have the biggest potential within it.
He spoke to Milan TV about a number of different topics, beginning by sending his best wishes to everyone on the day of Sant’Ambrogio.
“We have lived through a very difficult period, with many terrible losses but at the same time there is hope, strength in the city. I hope it is as peaceful a party as possible for everyone,” he said (via MilanNews).
“We are doing everything possible to give the city as much serenity as possible. Sant’Ambrogio is also the protector of bees and the people of Milan like bees are very industrious. I’m sure that with this quality, the city will come back stronger than ever.”
On the Coronavirus emergency: “Milan is a fantastic city and has faced this emergency with heart in hand. My wife and I have always stayed in Milan during this period and we have seen a strong city with generous people and with incredible strength. I am proud to consider myself a citizen of this city, I really feel from Milan.
“Milan is a city that embraces modernity, creativity and with a great history but also a city that looks ahead. We want to see these qualities also on the pitch with a modern team that plays progressive football and with players who wear the shirt with pride.
“This is the team’s vision and they will have to play in the most beautiful stadium in the world. This future is not too far away and it is an inspiration for me.”
On his favourite places in Milan, he added: “I love Parco Sempione, it is the heart of Milan. I often go for a run or walk there. We have the history of the castle, the sporting history of the arena, the modernity of the Triennale. I cannot forget Casa Milan, our home and the Milan fans, A special place: history and future together.”
On the journey of Milan: “I am convinced that Serie A can return to the top of world football. Milan have the greatest potential for growth.
“I was convinced of it when I accepted this challenge and I am even more convinced today. Seeing our strategy take shape is a great satisfaction for me. I am a football lover and I feel proud and privileged to be part of this great club.”
Finally, a message for the fans…
“I want to wish all the fans and the Milanese a wish for the feast of Sant’Ambrogio. I hope that we will always be able to feel close and united to the people we love and I hope that soon we will be able to meet our loved ones and cheer together for our Milan.”
