AC Milan want to shrug off the disappointment of the defeat to Parma and bounce back with a win over Cremonese.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, the key for Milan is to avoid psychological repercussions after the defeat to Parma . That’s why, after the intense physical work on Tuesday and Wednesday, the team mainly completed a recovery session yesterday morning, in the pitch and the gym.

Allegri’s predicted choices

Today, Massimiliano Allegri will begin tactical preparations for Sunday’s lunchtime match at the Zini stadium, a match in which Matteo Gabbia is unlikely to start. The central defender trained separately again yesterday, and while he’ll do his best to make himself available, he shouldn’t be risked.

Fikayo Tomori, Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic will most likely be in the back three as a result. Santiago Gimenez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are still out, with the former working on the pitch to get back into top condition.

As for the midfield, Alexis Saelemaekers and Davide Bartesaghi will be back together from the start on the flanks. Ardon Jashari has the advantage over Samuele Ricci and Youssouf Fofana, to play alongside Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot.

Allegri does not intend to make judgements based on those at risk of suspension if they get a yellow card. Rabiot, Athekame, Saelemaekers and Fofana are the four players at risk. If someone is left out, it will be for technical reasons.

In attack, the favoured pairing is Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic. Allegri believes the two must play minutes to finally shine together. Niclas Füllkrug, however, is raring to go.

  1. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I’m tired. May not even watch. It’ll be 80 here. A lovely day at the beach to drink margaritas.
