It’s no secret that AC Milan are trying to sign Lucas Torreira from Arsenal, as new manager Giampaolo wants to reunite with the Uruguayan at San Siro.
However, so far in the negotiations, the London side have been playing hardball. Reports suggest that the Rossoneri will have to offer at least €40m in order to sign the midfielder, who joined Arsenal from Sampdoria last summer.
Last night, Di Marzio added that Milan are now planning to present a loan offer: two-year loan for €8m with an obligation to buy set at €30m. An offer, however, which most likely will be rejected by the Gunners. Therefore, Milan could take a different approach.
As reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport, they could decide to include Ricardo Rodriguez in the deal, thus lowering the price tag. Given that Hernandez is closing on a move to San Siro, the sale of Rodrigues isn’t unlikely.
