Lucas Paqueta continues to be at the centre of attention on the transfer market. Having attracted the interest of Paris-Saint Germain, the Brazilian midfielder has been constantly linked with a departure from AC Milan this month.
However, in recent days, the rumours have calmed down. Then again, the transfer window doesn’t close for some time and if the right offer arrives, the Rossoneri are open to negotiations given their recent struggles with Financial Fair Play.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), though, the recently rejected an offer from the midfielder’s former club, Flamengo. The Brazilian side offered to take Paqueta back on loan, which was rejected straight away.
The Rossoneri, as the report continues, will only part ways with Paqueta on a permanent basis. For today’s game against Cagliari, the midfielder will start on the bench as Pioli has opted for a 4-4-2 formation, which doesn’t exactly suit the player.
