GdS: Milan set price tag for Kessie with summer sale considered

AC Milan are open to selling midfielder Franck Kessie for offers above €30million this summer, according to a report.

The Rossoneri are undergoing a big shake-up off the pitch this summer, with Marco Giampaolo expected to be named as the club’s new head coach next week.

That leaves the future of certain Milan players up in the air due to Giampaolo’s fixation with the 4-3-1-2 formation, and Kessie is reportedly one of those who could be allowed to leave.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ivory Coast international is not considered untouchable by the leadership and they will listen to offers for him.

The 22-year-old is believed to carry a price tag of over €30million though, but teams in the Premier League have expressed an interest.

Kessie arrived at San Siro on a two-year loan deal with the obligation to buy at the end of that for €32m, so Milan would likely want to make a profit on their investment.

The club could choose to sell him in order to help the Financial Fair Play situation through capital gains, however ultimately it is Giampaolo who will likely have the last say.
