GdS: AC Milan’s mercato blocked due to unsellable €90m ‘treasure’ trio

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s market is currently blocked due to the presence of a €90m trio considered not central to the club’s plans, a report claims.

We reported via our mercato expert Vito Angele earlier on Thursday that Milan are experiencing a stalemate at the moment with regards to the mercato, due to their failure to find new clubs for Lucas Paqueta, Krzysztof Piatek and Suso.

Although yesterday the movement around Casa Milan was high, with many agents visiting Boban and Maldini, the Rossoneri at this moment do not seem able to seal any signings as the market is being blocked by non-sales.

Thursday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – also addresses the issues surrounding the aforementioned trio.

The paper claims that Paqueta, Piatek and Suso are no longer considered fundamental in the club’s plans despite the exact opposite being the case heading into the season.

They add that Milan have a potential treasure of €85-90million currently sat on the bench, but due to form and the nature of the market it will not be easy to be able to sell the trio for near that amount.
