GdS: Ancelotti’s record in sight for Pioli – against Bodo/Glimt he relies on Ibra and Calhanoglu

AC Milan will play their third game of the season on Thursday night as they welcome Norwegian league-leaders Bodo/Glimt to San Siro.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) note in their Thursday edition, Milan will have no room for errors as it is another straight knockout game, just like last week’s match in Dublin against Shamrock Rovers.

Head coach Stefano Pioli and his side are undefeated in 15 games, and by winning against Bodo/Glimt the Emilian coach would not only secure a place in the Play-Off next week, but would equal a club legend like Carlo Ancelotti, who in the his last season remained unbeaten for 16 games (12 wins and 4 draws from 18 September to 27 November 2008).

Pioli will rely on the usual suspects. Milan are increasingly dependent on Ibrahimovic, but around the Swede there are players who are learning to think as a team. One of these is Hakan Calhanoglu, who is also sure to play from the first minute. The only doubt is about the wingers, with Castillejo and Saelemaekers favourites over Brahim Diaz.
