GdS: ‘Arabia calls’ – Milan set price for Adli after rejecting first offer

Over the past few weeks there have been rumours regarding Saudi interest in Ismael Bennacer, but it is Yacine Adli that seems to have ended up in their crosshairs.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a club from the Saudi Pro League has come forward and made an offer for Adli, one that is deemed too low but was met by a willingness from the Milan management to negotiate.

The Rossoneri are looking for around €15-20m in order to sell the Frenchman, and with that money the summer transfer budget would be boosted. Thus, Milan could afford the two signings that they are looking to bring in.

Geoffrey Moncada and co. have been working on Youssouf Fofana for weeks now and, having struck an agreement with the player, they are negotiating a discount with Monaco. The prerequisites for the Lazar Samardzic deal are more or less the same: the player wants the move, Udinese ask for more.

It is clear that Paulo Fonseca wants some changes in the midfield and that is why Adli’s spot in the squad is no longer assured. Last season the former Bordeaux man made 17 starts in Serie A, with one goal and two assists, but now a future in the Middle East could await.
