GdS: Arsenal lead English clubs in race for €50m midfielder but Milan have a plan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must try and resolve the future of Franck Kessie as there are several interested clubs in the Premier League, a report claims.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan want to hold on to Kessie who has become one of the pillars of Pioli’s team. Negotiations over the renewal of his contract – expiring in 2022 – have already started, but at the moment there is a distance between the demand and the offer.

The hope for Milan is that the inclusion of some bonuses will lead to an agreement, because the club intend to build around a player whose market value has now risen to €50m. Milan will have to hurry too and the target is to resolve Kessie’s long-term future in the coming months to drive away the English clubs – Arsenal above all – who are interested in the player.

  1. 50 mil? Such a joke, if he plays in premier league clubs they will offer 100 milions for him, why is every player price from Milan divided by 3, nonsense. Arsenal paid 50 mil for thomas partey or 30 millions for torreira, i would not even respond to them on such a joke offer. De Laurentis was right when he didn’t wanted to gift Koulibaly for joke price to those parasite english clubs, its time to say NO to them. If they can pay 50 mil for Partey, or 70 mil for Rodri (City) then pay attention and offer respectfull offer to italian teams aswell.

    1. And our menagemant is making the same mistake for hundred of times, they offer a cringe offer to renewal of contract, they negotiate for months over 1 milion distance up or down, and at the end players go in last year of contract and their price automaticaly fall down 3x, just offer them what they want, its the same 4,or 5 or 6 millions why making such a disney story about that, renew the contract ffs so you can sell players by price what they are worth about and to avoid to be blackmailed by other clubs. You can make hard negotiations with no importance players such as romagnoli or castillejo or leao but not with the best players of team like Kessie. This really makes me sick.

  2. Milan cannot solve Kesie’s problem regarding the renewal of the contract because the agent from Kesie has clearly said that no offer below 5 million is possible. I don’t think Eliot will give that money, but he will try to sell Kesie if there is an offer of 50 or 60 million.
That is great money for a player like this and I think Milan should sell Kesie for 50 million. I hope it will be fast because Milan can bring much better players than Kesie

  3. Its not just you , as an Arsenal fan it gets infuriating that we have to give our players away AND pay some of the wages for a season or so. We cant sell for market value because nobody else will pay the wages they are on here and we pay far too much

  4. first ive heard of this and i doubt Arsenal are in for him. We also have problems selling players for anything like value as we have to give them away AND pay their wages for a season or 2 because we offer silly wages and that often comes back to bite us
