GdS: Bennacer worth almost double his transfer fee; Castillejo’s stock rises too

By Oliver Fisher -

The market values of both midfielder Ismael Bennacer and winger Samu Castillejo have increased due to their recent good form, it is claimed.

AC Milan’s summer recruitment has come under scrutiny after a poor start to the season following a summer transfer window where exclusively young players were brought in.

However, il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews.it) reported earlier on Tuesday that a number of Europe’s top teams are interested in Theo Hernandez, who cost Milan €20m but is now worth €50m, a 250% increase in market value.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Theo Hernandez is not the only one who has seen his stock rise dramatically since arrive at the San Siro.

Even Bennacer – after a difficult start – is starting to prove himself, and having cost €16m when he arrived from Empoli over the summer he is now worth at least €30m.

Meanwhile, the same outlet adds that Samu Castillejo’s value is ascending as he has managed to relaunch himself in the 4-4-2 system, though an estimate for his worth is not given.
