GdS: Brest winger remains on Milan’s radar after failed summer attempt – the latest

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan could reinforce their squad in January and give themselves a real shot in the Scudetto race, although they have started very well. One of the positions that could need a signing is the right-wing, with one target in mind.

The player in question is Romain Faivre. As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan tried to bring him in this summer but the €12m offer wasn’t enough. Brest stood firm on their €15m demand and the winger didn’t take the news well.

The 23-year-old has never left Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara’s wish list, so a new attempt could be made in January. Although Alexis Saelemaekers has done well on the right flank, there haven’t been any proper alternatives.

This season, Faivre has made eight appearances for Brest and he has managed to find the back of the net twice. He has also provided four assists, so his numbers are indeed good.

  1. He is playing as an attacking midfielder behind the striker all the time at Brest. He’s more suited to that role. I’m hoping Messias can provide the competition to Saladmaker for the right-wing.
