GdS: Calabria doubled his salary in renewal talks with Milan – contract until 2025

Milan, in addition to Sandro Tonali, have also reached an agreement with Davide Calabria. The right-back was one of their best players this past season and has agreed to renew his contract for four more years.

His current deal will expire in 2022 and Milan have had enough of letting key players go for free. Therefore, they dealt with the matter early and were successful in their pursuit, as reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews).

Instead of the €1m he earns per year, he will now earn around €2m as there are some bonuses that will make it double what he used to get. Still, for a player of his quality, it’s isn’t a hefty salary and that is indeed positive to see.

The new contract will be valid until 2025, meaning the management decided to settle on a four-year deal. If Calabria continues to perform like this, though, they will most likely have to sit down at the table once again soon.
