GdS: Teen sensation to snub Man Utd, Man City and Dortmund to pen Milan deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Francesco Camarda has attracted the interest of three top sides from around Europe but he is now close to extending his contract with AC Milan, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Camarda could soon sign his first professional contract with Milan despite all of the doubts and the speculation that has been circulating in the media over the past few weeks.

In recent days there have been positive contacts between the Milan management and his agents regarding a new deal, and an agreement over a three-year contract is ever closer. He would sign it in July, because extending before that means it could only run until 2026.

There is no shortage of admirers around Europe for Camarda, who is admired by several top clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Manchester United, but these options are increasingly unlikely because he wishes to commit his future to his boyhood club.

Italy U17s recorded their second group stage win in two games at the European Championship on Friday by beating Slovakia 2-0, and it was Camarda who opened the scoring for them with an audacious effort from the edge of the box. Mattia Liberali – another Milan talent – got the other goal.

    1. You cant sign for a longer duration at that age and that is also only from the new season, had they signed him when he turned 16 in march they could only have signed him for 2 years, I guess the limitation is a way to protect young players.
