GdS: Cardinale to attend Milan vs. Dortmund – new stadium and Ibrahimovic also on the agenda

By Euan Burns -

AC MIlan owner Gerry Cardinale is going to be at the match against Borussia Dortmund tonight in the Champions League but that is not the only reason for his visit to Milan, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the RedBird executive is going to be present at the massive Champions League match at San Siro this evening in which anything less than a win could see Milan drop out of the tournament.

Because the group is so tight, Milan could still end the night on top of the group. When Cardinale comes to Milan, though, it is rarely for one thing. He is also expected to continue working on a new stadium for the club in San Donato.

As well as that, he wants to take the next steps in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to the club. That deal is thought to have been done, but an announcement is not expected before the game.
