GdS: Chelsea and Man City both keen on Leao – counterparts could be used

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea and Manchester City are both interested in signing Rafael Leao from AC Milan and a swap deal could be proposed, a report claims.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), the striker is asking for €7m net per year in order to extend his current deal with Milan – which expires in 2024 – with Paolo Maldini and the management willing to pay €6.5m.

That difference is bridgeable, but the problem is that the Portuguese winger wants the Rossoneri to contribute in some way to the €19m due to Sporting CP together with Lille.

With this stalemate, Chelsea are certainly on alert and they are willing to offer an amount worth €120m perhaps with some counterparts included to work out an exchange dea of some sorts.

The paper adds that Manchester City are also following the situation closely, so the Rossoneri must act decisively if they want to keep Leao.

  1. $ 100 mil plus Pulisic. Use the rest to get RW and a striker.

Losing Leao will be huge but we showed vs Napoli he isn’t required. Finishing is what we need. Even with Leao we have issues finishing because the forwards are unbalanced

  2. Renew Leao!
If you can’t, accept money only.
Chelsea doesn’t have a single player I’d want in Milan.
Outside of Julian Alvarez I don’t want any ManCity player.
Plus all ManCity and Chelsea players are so massively overpaid salary wise that Milan can’t afford them anyway. If they could than just renew Leao.
Get cash and go get Mykhaylo Mudryk
People asking for Pulisic. He is more often injured than Ante Rebic if that’s even possible.
No Pulisic, no Ziyech. Cash only

  3. Try renew leao first until end of season . If he still dont want then sell him in summer but with 1 years contract left you cannot expect get 100m euro maybe just 60m euro maximum. Cannot take counterpart player too,all of their good player in manc city & chelsea have huge salary

  4. Sell and get Hudson-odoi as counterpart, get No-lang for 20mil and we are set for Jan. Believe it or not Theo will be difficult to replace compared to any other person in the squad. I’ll hate to say it but Leao and us parting ways will be good for both parties. Peace

    1. Olumide, if Milan can pay 7 million no problem. If not sale him asap to make enough profit, I don’t want to see any player going for free again. Soldier go soldier come ni o.
