GdS: Chukwueze wants to join Milan but Villarreal hold firm on €25m price

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have Samuel Chukwueze as their number one target for the right wing position and Stefano Pioli has held personal talks with him, a report claims.

According to this morning’s La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan want Chukwueze because of his pace, his dribbling and his ability to beat his man in one-on-one situations, but it will not be an easy pursuit.

Just like with the other targets, Milan’s plan is to find an agreement with the player first – which has been achieved – and then with his club.

Milan have spoken with the winger’s entourage plenty and Pioli also called him, from which it emerged there is a mutual desire for the move to take place.

Villarreal want at least €25m plus bonuses to sell the Nigeria international and at present they are not worrying about the fact that in a year he would leave on a free transfer.

Daichi Kamada can become a factor too. Milan have chosen Ruben Loftus-Cheek as their first non-EU player and for the second they have to choose: Chukwueze is the first choice but with Kamada there has already been a handshake.

  1. Worth for 25mil cause RW is hard position to fill. And if they didn’t signed the Chelsea flop they could have signed Kamada as well for free and had big improvment in the RW and AM positions.

    1. Agreed. €25m isn’t a lot for him tbh. And like you mentioned, they’ve had so many problems at RW it’s a good investment. I’d pull the trigger immediately on that amount.

          1. I don’t care. I am Asian myself so why would I stand back and watch a dignified personal like Kamada waiting for us to sign him even though we agreed to the deal. Do u think this is justified?

      1. Yeah it’s a crying shame to use one of our 2 Non-EU spots on RLC.

Kamada (free) and Chukwueze (glaring hole in starting XI) surely should have been signed and the RLC alternative could definitely have been found.

I’m still clinging to the hope the management have some citizenship loophole card theye trying to play (eg Kamada qualifies for German dual nationality) but its just hope, not based on any facts

        1. Japan bans dual nationality.. so, if Kamada gets German nationality, he will lose the Japanese one and cannot play for Japan national team

      2. Different position tho. They ‘had’ to sign RLC once they sold Tonali. We also lost Isma till the end of this year. So RLC might just be the most convenient target. As it looks like we’ve been following him for a while and the past management had all things agreed with Chelsea and the player.

Still and all I hope we’ll sign Kamada.

  2. Honestly they should drop him and get pulisic and kamada. Maybe try in the winter or for free next summer…
Midfield and back up ST are more important atm

    1. Pulisic is right footed and not a good RW, he is better as an LW,AM. This guy is a far better RW. Plus not injury prone like Pulisic. Better get Baldanzi if not Chukwueze.

  3. If he’s nearly as good as Leao on the wing, then 25mil isn’t unreasonable. They better act fast, he has plenty of suitors. Also, Inter apparently goes after all of our targets, so better hurry.

  4. There is no way villarreal only want 25m euro , if thats true , we will already see him in AC Milan . Villarreal asking 40m euro and they not scared losing him for free. Better skip this samuel and go for pulisic & kamada .

  5. Mennnn samuel and Leo on d flank d power of our attack will be mad like so much speed and skills mennn they should just buy him ooh.

  6. If we somehow can offer like to leave him on ‘loan’ with Villareal for upcoming season, then 20-25 mil sounds like a reasonable deal. Win win for all parties. Villareal won’t loose him for free yet still able to fully utilize him a season. It’ll also sort things up regarding our non eu thingy, so this season we’ll be able to sign Kamada.
