GdS: It could be farewell – Simic’s future may be away from Milan

By Ben Dixon -

AC Milan’s Primavera ranks are filled with talent, and several players look ready to take gradual steps to become first-team talents, but for one player, the road may be away from the club.

The current crop of talent in Milan’s youth ranks is phenomenal, and several players have shown they can play at the senior level, one of the players who proved that this season was Jan-Carlo Simic.

Not only did the central defender make the step up easily, but he also looked like a player much older than he is, looking calm and composed on the ball and taking the game in his stride rather than folding at the pressure of playing first-team football.

Understandably, there are suitors for players like this, and whether the Rossoneri listen to them is another thing, but in the case of Simic, their options may be limited.

As Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) writes, it is possible that the young Serbian defender could move away from San Siro, specifically to the Netherlands, where Feyenoord are taking a keen interest in his services.

According to the reports, he is yet to sign a contract extension, and the Dutch club have ‘swooped on the player’.

    1. Yes imagine moneyball opted for Pellegrino while Calafiori was ignored. Guess who’s gonna be sold for at least 50 mils this summer or the next one

  1. He would be dumb to stay at Milan. Pioli did not continue to play him, although he did well while Tomori and Thiaw kept making dumb mistakes. Now Milan are “offering” him a starting spot in…Serie C. He is 19 years old and needs to play real football against real opponents to develop into his potential.

    1. “He would be dumb to stay at Milan.”

He’s already miles better than Kalulu & Thiaw combined. He should definitely stay as it would be so easy to take the spot in the starting 11. Of course if money is everything, then there are million clubs that pay better.

      1. Why because he is Italian or based on what logic sorry. If it is the first I think we can forget CL glory, we need to see pkayers overall for what they are and stoo this non sense Italian or not.

Argument coming through youth ranks stands thkugh due to cultural Milan assimilatuon which btw is as Italian as I am. Its rather cosmopolitan with all good Italian elements that makes Italy what it is.

        1. Italian? What? Who is Italian? Simic? LOL! No he’s not.

Did you really reply to the correct place as none of what you said applies to my text above.

    1. But why that option, you sound dumb just like the milan management.. Real tag thier own academy play with high price but Milan tagep their own too cheap… Tell me how Jimenez is better than Simic ?

      1. Gimenez, the Feyenoord striker, genius, not Jimenez, the Real Madrid academy product.
Make sure you know what people are talking about before you call them stupid, Stupid!

  2. same same, madrid picks up trophy after trophy with 21year old superstars bougth them in age of 19 for 40mio each and we still talk about experience and as it seems a must skill to play for milan.

    1. Milan is taking so long with completing the Zirkzee deal that Napoli and Torino already agreed on a price for him.

  3. Milan would have been well covered at the back if the management have signed Dragusin and Riccardo Calafiori.

Calafiori was very perfect on his first outing as he won 100% of his tackles, won the most aerial duels (3) & made the most interceptions (3) for Italy against Albania.

Selling Simic will be another huge mistake and no brainer from the management that only cares about making profits than building a strong team that could win trophies right away and in the future.

  4. This american management are always looking for young talents but then they have this talents in their yard they let them leave foolishness for few pennys. What an absolute idiots, Bozzo’s clowns 🤡 🤡 🤡 😆😆😆. This so called management are a bad joke.

    1. This has nothing to do with the yanks and everything with Italian football in general. Most Italian clubs sell off their so-called talents to foreign clubs or let them rot away in Primavera teams until they are 24 and then loaned out to weak clubs and somehow let them get more experience playing 6 matches a year. Stop buying foreign and play your youth! The government is partly to blame here too, offering deals on wages (growth decree), stopping clubs getting modern stadiums and keeping clubs in the dark ages.

  5. Rumors flying around, (esp from GdS) Fans taking them as gospel and showering insults at management for something that hasn’t happened. Sounds about right…

  6. Another solid prospect sold by this genius management group lol. What a shame.

    We are completely lost

    20-30M for Emerson Royal?

Jovic gonna lead the line LOL

    Great times ahead!

  7. People bashing the management, but failed to follow the timeline on this player. He and his agent refused to sign a renewal, because the player wants to play first division football, not at serie C with Milan Primavera or being the fifth CB in the first team, so management is trying to save the situation by using him in the Wiefer transaction, but everyone is too busy criticizing instead of be informed of actual situation
