GdS: Create, inspire and discover San Siro – Reijnders prepares for Milan vs. Torino

By Isak Möller -

Tijjani Reijnders will set foot at San Siro for the first time in his life this evening as AC Milan will take on Torino. The midfielder impressed everyone against Bologna and he will be looking to continue like this.

The Dutchman completed 27/27 passes and moved a lot between the lines, helping Milan a lot in attack. As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), the passes were certainly not trivial as Reijnders tends to get bold.

There was a moment during the pre-season, as the newspaper continues, when Stefano Pioli considered starting Reijnders in the No.6 role. However, after seeing him a bit more, he then decided along with the player that left midfielder was the best role. And it’s a very advanced role, acting almost as a second striker at times.

Tonight, the former AZ Alkmaar man will enter San Siro for the first time, having not been there before as a player or a fan. He will be tasked with creating and inspiring his teammates, but above all discovering the wonders of the stadium. As such, it’s a special game for him.

  1. Now it’s nice. He can work as he’s new still. It’s when the other clubs start to man mark him. I think he’d do well either way, his movements is just as good as his passing
