Today is a decisive day in determining whether Rafael Leao will be available for AC Milan’s trip to face Atalanta tomorrow, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) reports that Leao had a new MRI scan earlier in the week which showed that the muscle injury he suffered on November 11 during the 2-2 draw with Lecce had healed.
Yesterday, the Portuguese winger did the first part of the training session at Milanello with the rest of the squad and then he broke away tod continue with individual work. Today he will try to participate in the entire session with the team.
Then, Stefano Pioli will then decide on his call-up. If he is on the squad list he will start on the bench and will hope to play a part in the second half, with the objective of having him ready to start against Newcastle.
Leao has already missed the league matches against Fiorentina and Frosinone and the return match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
