A decisive meeting is expected today between Lazio star Luis Alberto and the club’s management, according to a report.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes, Luis Alberto did not arrive for Lazio’s preseason retreat in Formello which drew the ire of the management as he offered no explanation for his absence.
Today the Spaniard is expected in the capital where he will meet Lazio sporting director Igli Tare. The club will take a hard line with the player, imposing a fine on him, but if the former Liverpool man apologises to the group, then he will be reinstated.
If he does not apologise or show remorse for his actions though then he will not be allowed to join the group, strongly implying that another solution will be sought. It will therefore be a decisive meeting to decide the future of the player, with Milan observing the situation after the farewell of Hakan Calhanoglu, as per the paper.
