The past couple of days have been somewhat hectic for AC Milan and Inter Milan, as both clubs continue preparations for the Derby della Madonnina but have also had troubles with positive Covid-19 cases within their squads.
Inter announced that Alessandro Bastoni tested positive for Covid-19 several days ago. This was followed by Milan Skriniar, Radja Nainggolan Roberto Gagliardini and Andrei Radu.
In the meantime, Matteo Gabbia tested positive for the Rossoneri, while Leo Duarte remains positive. On the other hand, Zlatan Ibrahimovic recovered from the virus yesterday and will be ready for the derby.
Despite the rise in cases seven days before the derby, especially for the Nerazzurri, the match at the San Siro is not at risk, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milannews.it).
There is optimism at the Lega Serie A that the highly-anticipated clash can proceed without any problems and if the two teams follow the protocol in detail, the authorities will allow the match to be played.
