GdS: Details regarding Milan’s signing of Sanches emerge – price tag halved

Renato Sanches is just one step away from joining AC Milan, becoming one of the first summer signings along with Divock Origi. The cost of the operation has now emerged, a report claims.

The Portuguese midfielder has been followed by the Rossoneri for a very long time and an attempt was even made in January. It broke down at the last second but work has continued since, hence the imminent transfer.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan will pay €10-15m for the signing of Sanches. That is half of what Lille initially requested and the salary demand has also been lowered, from €6m per year to around €3m per year.

Given that Franck Kessie has decided to leave the club, the signing of Sanches is needed from a numerical point of view. The real replacement for the Ivorian, however, will be Sandro Tonali based on his characteristics. Tommaso Pobega can also fill that void, if needed.
